Person jumps on track at Kolkata's Kalighat station, metro services hit

Services on Kolkata Metro's Blue Line were briefly disrupted on Saturday after a person allegedly attempted to die by suicide by jumping onto the tracks at Kalighat station around 7.20 am, PTI reported. Following this, truncated services ran between the stations before and after Kalighat. "The person was promptly rescued...normal services were restored...at 7.44 am," a metro spokesperson said.
