Peru declares emergency as Guillain-Barré Syndrome cases rise

Peru has declared a 90-day national health emergency amid a rise in the cases of the rare neurological disorder Guillain-Barré Syndrome. As per Xinhua, the country has seen an "unusual increase" in cases of the disorder, with 165 people suffering from it and four deaths also reported. An alert was also issued on June 27 over the rise in cases.
