Peru declares emergency in some areas as 6 die due to Cyclone Yaku

At least six people have died in Peru over the past few days due to Cyclone Yaku which has unleashed torrential rains, the National Institute of Civil Defense has said. The government has declared a state of emergency in Tumbes, Piura, Cajamarca, among other areas. President Dina Boluarte, on Saturday, visited Tumbes to inspect the delivery of supplies.
