PETA urges PMO to reject confinement proposals for dogs and cattle
PETA India has urged the Prime Minister’s Office to reject proposals for lifelong confinement of community dogs and stray cattle, calling them cruel and unworkable. Citing India’s 62 million free-roaming dogs, it recommended humane solutions such as effective animal birth control, sterilisation, vaccination, adoption, action against illegal breeders, and accountability for cattle abandonment.
