Petrol mixed with 85% ethanol launched in Delhi, to be cheaper by ₹20/litre
Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri launched E85 fuel at a petrol pump in Delhi. The fuel contains 15% petrol and 85% ethanol and may help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 61%. It'll cost ₹82.12/litre in Delhi, ₹20 cheaper than petrol, which costs ₹102.12/litre, with the pricing aimed at compensating users for loss in the fuel's calorific value.
