PGIMER treats 7'7" tall J&K policeman with rare hormonal disorder
A 35-year-old J&K Police head constable, standing 7'7" tall due to rare acromegaly, was treated at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Doctors removed a hormone-secreting pituitary tumour via a scarless transnasal surgery. PGIMER has treated over 100 such cases. Post-surgery, the patient's hormone levels stabilised. Anaesthesia challenges were managed through a full OT rehearsal, doctors said.
