Phase 1 of Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan Metro Line 5 is 70% complete: MMRDA

The work on Phase 1 of the upcoming 24.5 km-long Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan Metro Line 5 is 70% complete, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) officials said on Friday. Phase 1 from Thane to Bhiwandi is 12.7 km-long and is scheduled to be completed in December 2024. Phase 2 of the project from Bhiwandi to Kalyan has a deadline of December 2025.
