After RCB bought Phil Salt in the IPL 2025 mega auction, ex-India cricketer Harbhajan Singh said, "Phil Salt [ko] swaad ke anusaar paisa mila. Well done RCB." Salt was bought for ₹11.5 crore on the first day of the mega auction, which is taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He represented DC and KKR in the 2023 and 2024, respectively.
