Philippines, China hold talks amid dispute in South China Sea

The Philippines said that it held "friendly and candid" talks with China on the South China Sea amid a dispute, the Philippine Foreign Ministry said. Over 200 Chinese vessels have been anchored in waters claimed by the Philippines. The Philippine authorities said that the encroaching vessels are manned by militia, while China claimed they're fishing boats sheltering from bad weather.
