Philippines puts its capital Manila under lockdown over coronavirus

The Philippines put its capital Manila under a month-long lockdown from March 15 to April 14 to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte also announced containment measures, including ban on mass gatherings, school closures and quarantining in communities where virus cases are detected. The country has reported two coronavirus deaths and detected 53 virus cases.
