Philippines President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' R Marcos Jr said the country won't be "cowed into silence" by China after confrontations in South China Sea left Filipino troops injured. Marcos said Philippines will respond with "countermeasure package that is proportionate and reasonable". His remarks came after Chinese coast guard fired at a Philippine vessel with water cannon near a disputed shoal.
