Pic of northern lights as seen from space shared by NASA
NASA shared a picture taken from the International Space Station (ISS), which shows Aurora Borealis, or northern lights, illuminating the Earth's Northern Hemisphere. Auroras are created when charged particles from the Sun collide with gases in Earth's upper atmosphere. Reacting to the picture, one user said, "Awe-inspiring celestial display," while another called it "a rainbow outside the Earth".
