Pic of paper nautilus wins ocean photography award

A picture of a female paper nautilus on a floating wooden stick is the overall winning image of the Ocean Photographer of the Year 2023 award. Jialing Cai, a 25-year-old marine biologist, captured the image on a blackwater dive in the Philippines following the Taal Volcano eruption. "When I pressed the shutter, the particles reflected my light," Cai said.
