Pic shows rare two-headed diamondback turtle found in Cape Cod

A rare two-headed diamondback terrapin hatchling was discovered in Cape Cod. Weighing just 5.2 grams, it was spotted at a sanctuary in Wellfleet by staff from Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. The turtle has bicephaly, a rare condition which occurs during early embryo development when twins fail to fully separate, resulting in two distinct heads attached to one body.
