Pic shows woman lying on bed of 2,516 nails to worship Goddess Durga

Madhumala Devi, from Rosera in Bihar’s Samastipur district, is spending Navratri lying on a six-foot bed fitted with 2,516 nails as an offering to Goddess Durga. The bed weighs 32 kg and the nails are five inches long. She is also observing a waterless fast. Her husband said a dream about the goddess two years ago strengthened her religious devotion.
