Japan's viral baby macaque Punch, who went viral after clinging to an orangutan plushie following his mother's abandonment, celebrated his first birthday on Sunday. Now fully integrated with other monkeys at Ichikawa City Zoo, Punch received around 2,500 birthday cards from fans worldwide. Zookeepers gave him the toy to develop the gripping ability newborn macaques need to survive.
