Pierre Poilievre, who leads Canada's Conservative Party, has lost his seat in the general elections held on Monday. He is trailing Liberal candidate Bruce Fanjoy in the Carleton seat with almost all the votes counted. Poilievre, whose party also lost the elections to Liberals, had held the seat since 2004 and has been party leader since 2022.
