Pilot operates fastest New York-London flight since Concorde
Norwegian Air pilot Harold van Dam broke subsonic transatlantic records when he flew a Boeing 787 Dreamliner from New York City to London in five hours and 13 minutes on Monday. In 1996, the supersonic Concorde completed the 5,565-km journey in two hours and 53 minutes. Van Dam revealed the flight could have gone faster if it wasn't for turbulence.
