Pinterest has announced that it's banning all ads promoting weight loss starting Thursday. This will include any language and imagery that encourages weight loss, promotes weight loss products, idealises certain body types, or references Body Mass Index (BMI), Pinterest said. Citing NEDA research, Pinterest wrote, there's been a rise in unhealthy eating habits in young people during the pandemic.
