Pithoragarh gets its first astro-tourism observatory

Pithoragarh, one of Uttarakhand’s quieter and most scenic hill districts, has added a brand-new reason for travellers to visit, the region’s first dedicated astro-tourism observatory. The observatory is a big step towards turning stargazing into a worthwhile Himalayan travel experience. It was designed to bring together local communities, science, and tourism.
