Piyush Goyal calls for India to emerge as global healthcare destination

Union Minister Piyush Goyal urged India to become pharmacy of the world and emerge as a global healthcare destination. He highlighted growing importance of healthcare beyond treatment, encompassing prevention, caregiving, medical devices and telemedicine. The minister also urged stakeholders to take advantage of ₹1 lakh crore committed for research and development of new drugs and equipment.
