Reacting to RCB leaving the bidding war for KL Rahul in between at the IPL 2025 mega auction, former India cricketer Dodda Ganesh wrote on X, "What’s the rationale there? Not bidding for KL Rahul? For whom are you guys saving all that money. Totally mindless. Playing with local fans’ emotions." KL Rahul was bought by DC for ₹14 crore.
