PlayStation 5 sales dip 50% amid price hikes, memory shortages
Sony sold 1.5 million PlayStation 5 consoles in its Q4, down roughly 50% year over year. The decline comes after the company raised PS5 console prices twice over the past year amid rising memory costs and shortages. "We plan to base our PS5 hardware sales in FY26 on the volume of memory we can procure at reasonable prices," Sony said.
