Plea against Vir Das' 'Hasmukh' for allegedly maligning lawyers

A plea seeking to restrain a streaming platform from airing its web series 'Hasmukh', starring Vir Das, has been filed in Delhi High Court. It alleges that the lawyers are referred to as thieves, scoundrels, goons and rapists in episode 4. "The said remarks have...impugned the image of lawyers in the eyes of millions of viewers," advocate Ashutosh Dubey said.
