Plea filed in SC for removal of 'Singham' officer from Bengal poll duty

A PIL has been filed in Supreme Court seeking the immediate removal of Uttar Pradesh's 'Singham' IPS officer Ajay Pal Sharma from his role as Police Observer in West Bengal Assembly polls. The PIL claimed Sharma is "highly partisan" and "acts contrary to the role prescribed to him". Notably, a video of Sharma warning a TMC leader has surfaced online.
