Plea filed in SC seeking removal of BCI chief Mishra

A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking the removal of Bar Council of India (BCI) Chairperson Manan Kumar Mishra and challenging his prolonged tenure. The plea also seeks the formation of a committee headed to examine BCI's finances and its trust. Mishra was first elected as chairperson in 2012, and his tenure was recently extended to 2030.
