Plea moved in SC seeking immediate action for recovery of AGR dues

The Consumer Rights Foundation has moved a public interest litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court, seeking government action for the immediate recovery of AGR dues from telecom companies. Earlier, the Telecom Department said it won't take coercive action against the companies that fail to meet the court-directed January 23 deadline. The plea claimed DoT's order amounts to contempt of court.
