PLI scheme boosts ₹9,207 cr investment, 3.29 lakh jobs

The Food Processing Ministry's PLI scheme has attracted 9,207 crore investment and created around 3.29 lakh jobs so far. Covering 128 approved companies and 274 units, the scheme boosts value addition, processing capacity, MSME participation, and exports. Millet-based products saw a significant rise, while modernisation and global branding of Indian food products continue.
