PM Modi announces ₹2 lakh ex gratia for Ahmedabad firecracker factory victims

PM Narendra Modi announced an ex gratia of ₹2 lakh for the families of each person killed and ₹50,000 for the injured in the Ahmedabad firecracker factory blaze that claimed eight lives and left nearly 10 injured. He said he was "extremely saddened" by the tragedy and added that the local administration was providing all possible assistance.
