PM Modi announces opening of Indian embassy in Timor-Leste

During the ASEAN-India Summit, PM Narendra Modi announced the opening of India's embassy in Dili, the capital of Southeast Asian country Timor-Leste. Sharing the announcement on X, External Affairs Ministry's spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, "Act East in action - Delhi to Dili!" India's Act East policy aims to strengthen its ties with countries in Southeast Asia and East Asia.
