PM Modi hails 'Flamingo city' in Kutch, lauds conservation efforts

PM Narendra Modi in the 133rd "Mann ki Baat" episode on Sunday lauded local conservation efforts and spoke about the 'Flamingo City' in Gujarat's Rann of Kutch. He said every year, when monsoon ends, the arrival of lakhs of flamingos turns the area pink. "Kutch calls them 'Lakhha Ji Ke Baaraati'...[they] have become beautiful symbols of environmental conservation," he added.
