PM Modi inaugurates ₹8,900-cr Vizhinjam international seaport in Kerala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Vizhinjam International Deepwater Multipurpose Seaport worth around ₹8,900 crore in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram on Friday. CM Pinarayi Vijayan was also present at the event. The port is India's first deepwater container transshipment port, with 285 ships having docked there so far, including some of the largest container ships in the world.
