PM Modi lays foundation stone of ₹645-crore passenger ropeway in Varanasi

PM Narendra Modi on Friday laid the foundation stone of the passenger ropeway from Varanasi Cantt station to Godowlia. The 3.75-km ropeway system with five stations is estimated to be developed at ₹645 crore, the PMO said. PM Modi said the distance between Cantt Railway station and Kashi-Vishwanath Corridor will be covered within minutes after the completion of the ropeway.
