PM Modi slams Oppn in I-Day speech, says 'Some spread fear, fake news during West Asia crisis'

During his Independence Day address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised the Opposition for allegedly spreading rumours and fear during the COVID-19 crisis, the Ukraine conflict, and the ongoing war in West Asia. He said some people “took pleasure” in frightening the country with claims that vaccines would not arrive and there would be shortages of petrol, gas, diesel and fertiliser.
