PM Modi unveils ₹7,500 crore semiconductor facility in Gujarat

PM Narendra Modi inaugurated CG Semi's outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, Gujarat, on Saturday. Built under the India Semiconductor Mission with an investment of over ₹7,500 crore, the plant will produce up to 5 billion semiconductor chips annually. IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the chips will be exported to Japan, the US and Europe.
