PM Modi unveils 109 new high-yielding crop varieties

On August 11, 2024, PM Modi launched 109 high-yielding, climate-resilient, and biofortified crop varieties at the India Agricultural Research Institute. He emphasized sustainable farming, climate-resilient practices, and biofortified crops to combat malnutrition. The 109 varieties include 61 different crops, with 34 field crops and 27 horticultural crops.
