PM Modi's visit to Lakshadweep had huge impact on tourism: Official

A senior Lakshadweep official, Imthias Mohammed TB, said PM Narendra Modi's January visit to the island has had a huge impact on tourism. "Impact is huge, we are receiving lots of inquiries," he said, adding that international tourists are also making inquiries. Earlier, a controversy broke out after a few Maldivian politicians criticised PM Modi's Lakshadweep visit.
