PM Narendra Modi wins Varanasi Lok Sabha seat by 4.79 lakh votes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today won the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat by defeating Samajwadi Party candidate Shalini Yadav by a margin of 4.79 lakh votes. This is the second straight time that PM Modi has won the parliamentary seat from Varanasi. In 2014, he had won the seat by a margin of around 3.7 lakh votes against Arvind Kejriwal.
