PM praises Speaker Om Birla as LS gears up for no-confidence motion against him

PM Narendra Modi appreciated Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla two days before the House would take up an Opposition-led no-confidence motion against him. "He's not only an excellent MP but also a remarkable Speaker of the Lok Sabha," PM Modi said. "He stands above party and opposition, embodying neutrality. He respects the feelings and requests of all MPs," PM added.
