PM urges people to use Kashmiri saffron, says govt wants to make it popular

During his Mann Ki Baat address, PM Narendra Modi appealed to people to buy "unique" Kashmiri saffron and asserted that the government wants to make it a globally popular brand. He said exports of Kashmiri saffron will increase after getting Geographical Indication tag. "It has many medicinal properties...It represents the rich culture of Jammu & Kashmir," PM Modi stated.
