PMC announces financial aid for care of mentally disabled people

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced financial aid for registered voluntary organisations catering to mentally disabled patients in its jurisdiction. Under PMC's 'Disabled Welfare Scheme', annual aid of ₹24,000 will be paid to such organisations to take care of at least 15 mentally challenged persons. The amount may also be paid to parents of children dealing with mental illness.
