PMC to give ₹5 lakh insurance cover to property taxpayers

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will be offering an insurance scheme to people paying property tax to the civic body, under which ₹5 lakh financial assistance will be given in case of accidental deaths. The scheme will be offered to 9.47 lakh property taxpayers, PMC Standing Committee Chairman Hemant Rasne said. The insurance can be used once a year, officials said.
