PMC to install 11 sewage treatment plants to clean Mula-Mutha River

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is planning to increase its sewage treatment facility to treat domestic sewage discharged in the Mula-Mutha River. The civic body plans to install 11 sewage treatment plants to bridge a treatment gap of over 200 MLD. It aims to improve the water quality and ecology by ensuring no untreated sewage water is released into the river.
