PM-DevINE scheme announced for North-East, ₹1,500 cr allocated

Prime Minister's Development Initiative for North-East (PM-DevINE) scheme was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today while presenting Budget 2022-23. The scheme will be implemented through the North-Eastern Council and fund infrastructure and social development projects with an initial allocation of ₹1,500 crore. Sitharaman said the scheme will help enable livelihood activities.
