POCSO sections against Bandi Bhageerath revised to sexual assault

Telangana Police have upgraded the charges against Bandi Bageerath, son of MoS Bandi Sanjay, to aggravated penetrative sexual assault under POCSO Act. SIT probing the case has summoned Bageerath for questioning, while his anticipatory bail plea is still pending. Addressing a rally in Karimnagar, Bandi Sanjay said his son had denied wrongdoing, but added that “everyone is equal before law”.
