Police and farmers clash over land acquisition in Punjab

A clash broke out between police personnel and farmers protesting against land acquisition for the Delhi-Katra Expressway in Punjab's Gurdaspur district. At least seven to eight farmers were injured in the scuffle, the farmers' unions claimed. "Instead of exhibiting arrogance and uncivilised behaviour, CM Bhagwant Mann should restore dialogue with the farmers," LoP Partap Singh Bajwa said.
