Police attacked, vehicles set on fire as students continue protesting at LPU

The protest by students at Lovely Professional University (LPU) turned violent on Sunday evening as students clashed with police and set vehicles on fire. The protest broke out over claims that a student was raped, but the university called the rumours baseless. "I believe that anti-social elements are involved," said LPU Dean Sorabh Lakhanpal.
