Police lathi-charge protesting farmers in Haryana; roads blocked in protest

After at least five farmers were injured as police lathi-charged them during a protest in Haryana's Karnal, farmers blocked multiple highways and roads on Saturday. Reports of traffic disruption were received from Hisar, Jind, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Dadri, Fatehabad and Ambala. The farmers were protesting against a BJP meeting, attended by Haryana CM ML Khattar, on a forthcoming municipal election.
