Police rejects man's 'wife eloped with beggar' claim, reveals why she left home in UP

Police in UP's Hardoi has denied a man's allegations that his wife eloped with a beggar, leaving him and their six children. Police said that she had moved to a relative's home because her husband repeatedly abused and beat her up. "The allegations that the woman left with someone are false and baseless. We are taking further action," police added.
