Politician Sandeep Thapar attacked with swords in Punjab; onlookers don't help

A Shiv Sena (Punjab) leader Sandeep Thapar was attacked with swords by four people dressed as 'Nihang' Sikhs on a busy road in Ludhiana on Friday, police said adding that his condition is serious. A video shows that onlookers did not help Thapar. The assailants escaped from the spot. Reports claimed that Thapar is a descendant of freedom fighter Sukhdev.
